Another painting in my retro interior decor series - this one featuring an "Old Skool" radio.
The knobs on it are solid and satisfying, nothing cheap and flimsy here. Tuning the radio wasn't a casual action; it was a commitment. Separate knobs for separate functions and together they produced that unmistakable crackle and hum.
These radios didn't rush, they took a little bit of time to wake up. And when they did the sound was rich, rounded, and slightly fuzzy.
A 1950s radio wasn’t just a device., it was a centrepiece, a companion, and a reminder of when listening was an event, not just background noise.
This artwork would add a lovely pop of colour, nostalgia and old skool vibes to where it hangs.
The artwork comes sealed and ready to hang.
